Because I have been behind a few days on posting here is one of another few extra posts for today!
The Tokens were a doo wop group in the late 50s and early 60s. Their best known for their song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” which was a revived folk tune brought from South Africa by songwriter Solomon Linda. It was performed in the folk revival by bands like The Kingston Trio, but arranged by Hugo and Luigi it was a big hit. RCA 1961.
