Written by the legendary Van McCoy and relatively unknown Joe Cobb, “The Finger Pointers” was a song recorded by numerous artists associated with Van McCoy including David Ruffin and The Choice Four. David Ruffin, a few years after getting fired from The Temptations, started recording funkier solo albums for a floundering Motown. His albums featuring collaboration with Van McCoy display some of the finest disco full length album work of the 70s. Motown 1975.
